Leeds United quartet Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Dan James have all been named in the Wales national squad for June’s international friendlies against Ghana and Romania.

Craig Bellamy’s side will begin preparations for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign later this year, with Wales set to compete in League A against European heavyweights Portugal, Norway and Denmark.

Wales first welcome Ghana to the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday 2 June (7:45pm BST), before travelling to Bucharest to face Romania on Saturday 6 June (6:45pm BST).

The call-ups continue an impressive campaign for the Leeds contingent, with the four Whites stars combining for 123 appearances across all competitions during the 2025/26 season.

Daniel Farke’s side enjoyed a positive return to the Premier League, securing a 14th-place finish in their first season back in the top flight, whilst also reaching the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Captain Ethan Ampadu was recognised for his outstanding performances throughout the campaign after being named Leeds United’s 2025/26 Player of the Year.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow has also earned individual recognition, receiving a nomination for the Premier League’s Save of the Season award following a string of impressive displays between the posts.
