The match officials for Leeds United’s Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round clash with Birmingham City on Sunday have been announced, with Paul Tierney set to take charge at St. Andrew's, replacing Simon Hooper.

The Select Group official has been officiating for 20 years. In that time, the 45-year-old has overseen 187 top-flight matches and 39 FA Cup matches, beginning with a 2008 game between Kidderminster Harriers and Cambridge United.

In 2023, the Lancashire native refereed the FA Cup Final, with Manchester City defeating neighbours Manchester United 2-1. This season, he presided over Wrexham's penalty shootout victory over Nottingham Forest in the Third Round.

In their 23 matches officiated by Tierney, the Whites have won eight and drawn three. His last Leeds match overseen was United's 1-0 loss to Stoke City in the EFL Championship two seasons ago.

The home side, meanwhile, have three wins and three losses in their 10 matches refereed by Tierney, though he has not officiated the Blues since 2016, when they drew 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers.
