Leeds United Women are back on home turf this weekend as they welcome Norton & Stockton Ancients to the BD Community Stadium in the FA WNL Division One North.

Previewing the return to league action following a short break for FA WNL Cup and FA Cup duties, Whites forward Brittany Sanderson is looking forward to the challenge.

"We're really excited to get back into the league after two weeks in the cups. It’s always nice to have a bit of a break and use the cup games to try new things. I think we all are ready to get back into league action now and pick up from where we left off. It’ll be nice to be back at home as well.

"Each game is going to be a different challenge in this league and Sunday will be no different. We know, especially from the game at Elland Road, what Norton can bring.

"They’re a really competitive, physical and hard working side who’ll come with their own game plan."

Addressing the impact the high-scoring victory over Stockton Town Ladies made, Sanderson added: "We said before the game against Stockton we wanted to keep our momentum by keeping our standards and work rate high.

"The scoreline showed this and it was nice to see different people scoring and different relationships developing, which you could definitely see in the build up to some of the goals. We know we can’t get carried away so we’ll take the positives from that game into Sunday’s and keep building.

"It would be a massive achievement for us," she declared at the prospect of reaching a double figure winning streak. "Obviously we’d love to make it 10 in a row, but we’re taking it game by game, we know we have to focus on the next game in front of us and that’s what we’ve been doing.

"Our form at the moment is a testament to our hard work, so as long as our focus and hard work continue we will reap the rewards."
