Brenden Aaronson was voted Leeds United’s Hisense Player of the Match after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Man Utd at Elland Road.
The midfielder opened the scoring in the 62nd minute with a composed finish, before Matheus Cunha levelled for Man Utd three minutes later.
Aaronson’s energetic display earned 74% of the fan vote, ahead of Jaka Bijol (13%), Gabriel Gudmundsson (4%) and Pascal Struijk (2%). It is the second time this season he has claimed the award, having also been voted Player of the Match against Sunderland in December.
He played 87 minutes before being replaced by Joel Piroe, recording 51 touches, 26 passes, one key pass, two shots, nine defensive contributions, eight recoveries and one chance created. His display also returned seven Fantasy Premier League points for managers backing the American.
