Leeds United can confirm Academy attacker Josh McDonald has joined Scarborough Athletic on a short-term youth loan.

The winger has been in impressive form for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s side so far this term, scoring three goals in 12 appearances across all competitions.

Two of those efforts came against senior opposition, netting in a National League Cup clash at Boreham Wood before helping the Whites to a memorable EFL Trophy victory over Barnsley.

The Scotland youth international joins United team-mate Harvey Vincent on loan at the Seadogs and could make his debut this weekend against Buxton.

Everyone at Leeds United would like to wish Josh well during his time in Scarborough and we will be monitoring his progress closely.
