Tarik Muharemović has been rewarded for another impressive month in a Leeds United shirt, with the defender named the club’s Hero of the Month for September.

The defender featured in all four of the club’s fixtures during September, completing 360 minutes of action across the Premier League and League Cup.

The month began with a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, before the Whites travelled to Chelsea in the League Cup. Despite a 6-3 defeat, Muharemović found the net to register his first goal of the campaign.

He then played his part in an emphatic 4-1 Premier League victory over Newcastle United, providing an assist as Leeds claimed three important points.

September concluded with a goalless draw against Crystal Palace at Elland Road, with Muharemović helping the Whites secure a clean sheet.

His statistics underline his all-round contribution across the four matches. Muharemović recorded 36 defensive contributions, alongside eight interceptions, 24 clearances and 19 recoveries.

Muharemović secured 74 per cent of the supporters’ vote, finishing ahead of Ethan Ampadu, who received 8 per cent. James Trafford and Jayden Bogle each claimed 4 per cent.
