Fine form throughout the month of April for Noah Okafor continued into May when the attacker scored an important volley in the 3-1 win against Burnley at Elland Road.

The forward has eight goals in his first campaign with the club and has been instrumental in the recent strong form of Daniel Farke’s side.

With three games remaining of the season and a trip to Spurs next up in the league, Okafor gave his thoughts exclusively to Premier League Productions ahead of the game.

“I know that every result when you win it is an amazing feeling but we knew that this game was special,” he said, firstly reflecting on the win against the Clarets.

“We wanted to win so much and I think you also can feel it from the start of the game. The fans were behind us.

“Every player was like burning because we knew we had a good run and we knew, okay, if we won this game, it makes likely life more easier and we can breathe a little bit. But there are still three games left, so we have to look forward for that.”

Looking ahead to Spurs, Okafor said: “I think at the moment they are in a good mood, they have had back-to-back wins.

“I think they were struggling a little bit but this is football. Everyone in the Premier League is competitive. Everyone can beat everyone.

“I expect at their home game, the fans I think from them are on it. So we just have to be ready and take the duels and, yeah, give everything on the pitch and then I know that we have the quality.

“For sure we are going to analyse the opponent but we are focused our game, how we want to play and it doesn’t matter which team you are playing.

“We just try to go with confidence in the game and give everything on the pitch.”
