The officials for Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Sunderland have been announced, with Stuart Attwell set to take charge at the Stadium of Light.
It will be the second time this season the 44-year-old has overseen a fixture involving the Whites after being in the middle of our 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of September, where Jayden Bogle was on target at the Amex.
Prior to that one, the official had refereed 25 Leeds matches, of which we won 12, including a memorable 2-1 victory over Sunday’s opposition when a Pascal Struijk brace produced a comeback at Elland Road two seasons ago.
Including that encounter in West Yorkshire, the Black Cats have struggled for form in their 18 matches Attwell has taken charge of, winning just three and losing on eight occasions. Most recently, Régis Le Bris’ side drew 0-0 with Manchester United last campaign.
Running the touchlines are Constantine Hatzidakis and Nick Hopton with Andrew Madley appointed as Fourth Official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is VAR Craig Pawson and Additional VAR Matthew Wilkes.
