Sian Gibrill-Keating: Our aim is to win

Forward gives pre-match thoughts.

Sian Gibrill-Keating warmup vs York

Leeds United Women will host Wythenshawe Women on Easter Sunday in FA WNL Division One North action, following their five-goal victory over York City Ladies at the weekend.

After scoring the fifth goal on Sunday afternoon off the bench, forward Sian Gibrill-Keating previews this weekend’s tie with Wythenshawe.

“The feeling amongst the group ahead of Sunday is really positive. We will be working really hard throughout training this week to ensure that we are well prepared for the game on Sunday.

“Building momentum is really important, especially when you are winning and scoring goals. In the past few games, we have not scored as many goals as what we would like, but the game against York has proven that we are more than capable of creating these chances and scoring more goals towards the end of the season.

“It will add a bit more pressure on the teams around us and just give us that bit more confidence moving into the final stages of the season.

“Everyone has played a part in the success so far and I feel like everyone will continue to play that role towards the end of the season.

“Wythenshawe are near the top of the table so they are definitely going to be up for it and their aim is going to be the exact same as ours - which is to win.

“It is not going to be an easy game. It is going to be really tough. I think we are going to be well prepared for whatever comes at us and we will stick together as a team to make sure it goes our way.”
