Leeds United Under-21s return to the LNER Stadium as they host Leicester City Under-21s on Monday night in their latest Premier League 2 outing.
Scott Gardner’s side will be keen to end their regular season on a high, following a narrow defeat at home to rivals Manchester United on Good Friday.
Trailing at the interval, the Whites reduced the scoreline through a fantastic strike from Louie Philpott into the top corner of the goal to give Leeds a fighting chance heading into the remainder of the match.
Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, Gardner’s side were unable to find an equaliser before the final whistle sounded, leaving everything they had on the pitch.
United still have a chance to reach the PDL Play-Offs, should they record a victory over the Foxes and results elsewhere go there way.
Leicester are coming into the fixture off the back of a defeat at home to Aston Villa but, prior to that one, the midlands outfit recorded an emphatic 5-1 victory away at Arsenal.
Action from the LNER Stadium gets underway at 7:00pm.
