FA WNL Division One North action awaits Leeds United Women and Durham Cestria on Sunday, as the two sides face off at Shildon AFC.
The trip north east for the Whites follows a rearranged FA Cup fixture against Rotherham United Women, in which Simon Wood's side emerged victorious.
Ava Spencer-Smith broke the deadlock against a stubborn Rotherham defence, before captain Shauna Legge scored her first goal of the campaign to book a place in the Second Round, where Leeds will host Norton & Stockton Ancients.
The Whites' last league outing came in midweek prior to the cup fixture, when they held off a late comeback from visitors York City Ladies to run out 4-3 winners.
Alayna Millard opened the scoring before Amy Woodruff bagged a brace to return to the top of the goalscoring charts, while Brittany Sanderson guaranteed all three points late on.
Durham currently sit seventh in the league standings, having drawn 0-0 away at Chester-le-Street Town Ladies before most recently suffering a 3-0 defeat to Derby County Women in the FA WNL Plate.
With 12 points separating the two sides, the Whites will be keen to continue their league-topping form in County Durham on Sunday.
Action from Shildon AFC gets underway at 2pm.
The view from inside the camp:
Ahead of the return to league action, defender Emily Cassidy said: "We've had a nice break from league action and preparations are going well.
"I think we expect them to be young and a good, talented footballing side. We had two very difficult games against them last year, so we know it will be difficult."
