Gabriel Gudmundsson: We were so close to getting three points

It is now seven matches unbeaten for Leeds United, who were held to a point by rivals Manchester United at Elland Road.

The Whites had taken the lead through Brenden Aaronson before Matheus Cunha levelled proceedings, leaving the left-back somewhat frustrated the one point was not three.

"I think not our best game or performance, and again we take another point which is very important," the Sweden international said.

"We extend the gap a little bit, [but] of course, we think we deserve or we were so close to get the three points today.

“Of course, the mentality of this club and this team is now that we look up. We really want to do good things this season and, again, we show that not with the best performance today, we are still in the game and get one point.

"I think the question is more that we just need to take one game at a time. I know it is a boring answer but that is really how it is. This league is tough, we know that, and we need to stay focused and composed every time."
