Joe Rodon: Delighted to come away with a point

Defender reflects on Tottenham draw.

Joe Rodon vs Spurs (Away)

Leeds United picked up a point on their penultimate Premier League away fixture of the season as Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s penalty cancelled out Mathys Tel’s opener for Spurs.

Playing the full 90 minutes against his former club was central defender Joe Rodon, who explained the game played out how the team expected, especially in the opening stages.

“We knew it was going to be really intense coming in, especially them off the back of winning two games,” the Wales international told the media after the encounter.

“So we knew that it was going to be a very fast-paced game. I thought overall the boys came out and showed a lot of bravery at the end and, yeah, delighted to come away with a point.

“I think the team has shown that all season. Every game we have gone into, we want to be competitive. We are all professionals.

“We want to win every game we play in. Now the most important thing is now that we carry on that momentum and finish strong.

“It would be really nice to go unbeaten until the end of the season. That is the objective and, yeah, of course we will take one game as it comes and onto Sunday.”
