Jaka Bijol played the full 90 minutes as Slovenia came from behind to secure a 2-1 Nations League victory over Scotland at Hampden Park.

The Leeds United defender was at the heart of the Slovenia defence as his side moved up to second in Group B1 with seven points from their opening four matches.

Ryan Christie gave Scotland the lead after 31 minutes, but Slovenia responded strongly after the break. Aljoša Matko levelled shortly after half-time before Danijel Šturm completed the turnaround in the 71st minute.

Bijol was central to Slovenia's efforts throughout, recording 92 touches and 79 accurate passes as the visitors controlled large spells of the contest.

The 27-year-old also made five defensive contributions, including three clearances and two interceptions, while recovering possession seven times.

Bijol won two of his duels and helped Slovenia see out the result at Hampden as they secured their first victory over Scotland.

The result leaves Slovenia second in Group B1, behind Switzerland, with Scotland third and North Macedonia fourth.
