Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert Lewin spoke to the media after the Whites were forced to settle for a goalless draw at home to Brentford, giving his thoughts on the stalemate.
The hosts enjoyed the better of play in second half but were left frustrated by the Bees’ defence in their final match before the international break.
“We were pushing at the end, crashing balls into the box and they came with a game plan,” the England forward began. “Three big centre-halves to basically defend that whole game and I thought they did it well.
“It was frustrating at times and difficult to find space but not every game you are going to be cutting teams open. We take the point and move.
“It came as a little bit of a surprise that they added an extra centre-half into the team, so we had to adapt to that and it was kind of man-for-man really.
“We knew that we had to be physical and match them. We are probably a little bit disappointed not to come away with three points in the end but you have to take it.
“I am an experienced player now and I have been in certain situations before. We have got a great group of lads and a good manager.
“We have to stay together, stay committed, keep pushing and just keep putting points on the board.”
