Noah Okafor has been voted Leeds United’s AMT Player of the Month for April after a series of influential displays helped Daniel Farke’s side continue their strong end to the campaign.
The Swiss international collected 45% of the supporters’ vote after featuring in all five of the Whites’ fixtures across the month, ahead of Karl Darlow (10%), Ethan Ampadu (10%) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (6%).
April proved to be a memorable month for Okafor, who scored three goals and registered two assists as Leeds recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat.
Most notably, the forward etched his name into club history with a stunning brace in the 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford.
His double made him the first Leeds United player to score twice against Man Utd since Roque Junior in October 2003, whilst he also became just the second Whites player ever to net a brace at Old Trafford after Joe Firth achieved the feat in November 1931.
Okafor was also on target during the impressive 3-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road, capping another standout attacking display.
Across the month, the 24-year-old played 348 minutes, recording nine shots and 179 touches, whilst also carrying the ball 53 times for a total distance of 449.6 metres.
Creatively, Okafor produced four big chances and completed 63 passes, whilst his work-rate off the ball was equally important, contributing one interception, 17 recoveries, seven clearances and 19 duels won.
