Leeds United extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven on Wednesday night, as a late equaliser from Sean Longstaff saw the spoils shared on the south coast.
Willy Gnonto was instrumental in the first goal, arrowing a low ball across the box which was turned into the Bournemouth net by opposing defender James Hill to level the tie.
After the match, the forward spoke to LUTV to share his thoughts on the match and said: “We had to fight a lot at the end of the game. I think throughout the whole game the guys were brilliant and it was incredible to finish like this.
“I think it makes it even better and hopefully we are going to get many more points. We are really competitive so we are really happy, we are really united and hopefully we are going to keep going like this.
“They were really good, I think they are a top team. They have been good the whole season and we knew coming here was not going to be easy. We knew we had to fight. We knew we had to stay in the game and compete, and that is what we did.”
Looking ahead to Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea at Wembley Stadium, Gnonto added: “It is going to be special, personally I can’t wait!
“You have to try and stay concentrated and do not think about it too much. We have a couple of days to prepare and I am sure we are going to be ready.”
